2025 Player Outlook
While Kwan's stolen base total dipped last season, he still hit double-digits, and by the end of the season, he was running at a far better pace than he was shortly after his return from his trip to the IL. Kwan doesn't win with overwhelming hard contact, and he's posted a fifth percentile or worse barrel rate and hard-hit rate in each of the last three seasons. However, he makes a ton of contact, doesn't strikeout, and is a career .285 hitter across nearly 1,900 ABs. Kwan can likely get to 12-14 home runs again in 2025, but like we saw at the end of the season, he is going to run at a good clip, paving the way for 20+ stolen bases for the second time in his career. You'll need to pad your team's power with other picks, but Kwan will give your fantasy squad a good number of stolen bases and an excellent batting average.

Steven Kwan went 3-for-5 with a solo homer and a stolen base against the Angels on Saturday.
Kwan reached on a throwing error in the first inning and stole second before he was stranded on the bases. After a double in the third inning, he knocked a base hit in the fourth and took Kyle Hendricks deep for a solo homer in the sixth. The 27-year-old outfielder is slashing .315/.372/.441 with five homers, 29 runs scored, and eight steals across 243 plate appearances.

Kwan didn’t end up missing any time after making an early exit from Wednesday’s series finale against the Dodgers with right wrist inflammation. It’s impossible to tell whether fantasy managers are completely out of the woods, but it’s an encouraging sign that he doesn’t need any additional rest to address the issue.

Kwan was pulled in the fourth inning due to the inflammation. The outfielder will assuredly undergo testing — if he hasn’t already — to determine the severity of the injury. Nolan Jones is playing in left with Kwan out, and likely will get the starts there until Kwan is ready to go.
