ESPN’s Shams Charania reported the Cavaliers agreed to a deal with F Chuma Okeke.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Okeke will fill Cleveland’s open roster spot. Okeke recently spent time on a 10-day deal with the 76ers, where he made six appearances and three starts. He’ll provide the Cavs with some depth, but it is unlikely that he plays a role, especially in the postseason.
NBA insider Marc Stein reports the 76ers signed Chuma Okeke to a 10-day contract.
This is the second time the 76ers have signed Okeke to a 10-day contract this season, the first occurring just before the All-Star break. While he’s unlikely to impact fantasy basketball, Okeke should have opportunities to play due to Philadelphia’s crowded injury report.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the 76ers have signed Chuma Okeke to a 10-day contract.
Okeke spent some time in training camp with the Knicks and has recently performed well for their G League affiliate. The move to Philadelphia allows Okeke to re-establish himself as an NBA player after struggling with injuries for most of his time with the Magic to begin his NBA career.
According to Hoops Hype’s Michael Scotto, Chuma Okeke is signing a deal with New York.
Okeke averaged career lows across the board last season and will join a Knicks team that leans heavily on its starters. He isn’t likely to be relevant in fantasy any time soon with versatile forwards like OG Anunoby, Josh Hart, and Mikal Bridges ahead of him on the depth chart.
