Saints released OL Jesse Davis.

Davis is a seven-year league vet, but he hasn’t taken an offensive snap since 2021 despite being on active rosters each of the last two seasons. The former UDFA has made 72 starts in his career and could provide valuable depth for a roster, but his lack of playing time suggests his best days are behind him.

NFL Insider Jordan Schultz reports the Colts will meet with free agent OT Jesse Davis.

Davis spent all of last season with the Steelers but didn’t see a snap on offense. Still, Davis is a six-year veteran of the league who has started 72 games in his career and could provide added depth to a Colts offensive line that was among the league’s worst last season.

Steelers acquired OL Jesse Davis from the Vikings.

Minnesota will receive a 2025 conditional seventh-rounder. Davis lost his starting job to second-round rookie Ed Ingram in Minnesota. The Steelers are desperate for help on the offensive line and Davis has both tackle and guard experience. Davis has not had a PFF blocking grade above 62.6 in five seasons in Miami as a starter, but this is a good spot for him to once again find work.

Vikings signed RT Jesse Davis, formerly of the Dolphins.

Minnesota also announced that they have signed CB Nate Hairston and re-signed CB Tye Smith. Davis was released by Miami last week. He has started 72 games across every position but center over the past five years. Davis struggled at right tackle in 2021, allowing eight sacks and ten QB hits across 16 starts. For now, he projects to start at right guard for the Vikings. The move back to the inside should help Davis rebound in 2022.
