Tartt, 29, has struggled with injuries throughout his career, having played in just 36 of a possible 64 games since 2017. He'll start alongside Jimmie Ward with either Marcell Harris or Tavon Wilson stepping in on dime coverages if healthy in Week 1.

Tartt's Week 10 replacement, Marcell Harris, struggled mightily in his absence against the Packers, immediately surrendering a monster touchdown to Marquez Valdes-Scantling. The 49ers have suffered a truly biblical amount of injuries on defense.
