Giants re-signed OG Aaron Stinnie to a one-year contract.
Stinnie bolsters the Giants interior offensive line depth. The seven-year veteran played in four games last year and handled three starts. Ideally, the Giants will get by with Stinnie taking most, or all, of his reps in practice, not on Sundays. He earned a 47.9 PFF offense grade last year.
Giants agreed to terms with OG Aaron Stinnie, formerly of the Buccaneers.
Stinnie joined the Buccaneers on a one-year deal last offseason and wound up starting 11 of the 13 games he appeared in. The six-year vet now has a chance to replace Ben Bredeson, who played along the Giants’ interior last season but recently signed with the Buccaneers. Stinnie has played in 31 career games but only had one career start prior to 2023.
Bucs OG Aaron Stinnie has suffered a torn left ACL and MCL and will miss the 2022 season.
Stinnie had been "very much pushing" for Ali Marpet's vacated starting spot at left guard. Now the Bucs are back to square one with their revamped interior line, one breaking in RG Shaq Mason and adjusting to life without C Ryan Jensen (knee). It is a major concern for Tom Brady, who has been away from the team for over 10 days to attend to a "personal" matter. It is unclear who he will be building chemistry with upon his return.
Bucs LG Aaron Stinnie (knee) was carted from the field during the team's preseason game against the Titans.
Stinnie was attended to on the field by trainers before being carted and subsequently ruled out. With Ali Marpet retiring in the offseason, Stinnie was competing for the starting gig at left guard. He has been a backup for the Bucs since 2019. Stinnie's injury is the latest in a line of bad beats for Tampa Bay's offensive line. Though it's hard to imagine anything slowing down Tom Brady, a battered line could be an issue for the statue quarterback.
