Browns signed G Wes Martin, formerly of the Commanders.
The deal is pending a physical and will be announced formally on Thursday if he passes. Martin has started 11 games, none since the 2021 season, since being drafted by the Commanders in the fourth round in 2019. He figures to be a backup in Cleveland.
Martin (chest) practiced in full Thursday.
Martin has missed three straight games due to a chest injury, but he now appears on track to retake the field versus Buffalo on Sunday.
Martin (chest) was ruled out for Thursday's game against the Vikings.
Martin didn't practice again this week and will be sidelined for the third straight game.
The Redskins have ruled out Martin (chest) for Sunday's game versus the 49ers, Kareem Copeland of The Washington Post reports.
Martin was once again unable to practice all week, and will remain sidelined as a result. His next chance to play will come in Week 8 against the Vikings.
