Raiders re-signed OG Alex Bars to a one-year contract.
Bars spent three years with the Bears before joining the Raiders last offseason. He started 14 games for Vegas, appearing at both left and right guard. In Chicago, he also got reps at center and tackle. Bars is a backup-caliber lineman, but he can play any position in a pinch. He will likely return to Las Vegas as a reserve option for 2023.
Raiders signed OG Alex Bars, formerly of the Bears.
Bars proved versatile with the Bears, playing guard, center, and tackle in his three years with the team. He started 11 games for Chicago over the past two years, appearing in every regular season game.
Bears re-signed OG Alex Bars.
Bars was an exclusive rights free agent, and the Bears also re-signed fellow ERFAs ILB Josh Woods, OLB James Vaughters, and TE J.P. Holtz. Bars appeared in all 16 games last season, starting eight across the interior line.
Bars (knee) started and played every offensive snap in Saturday's preseason game against the Colts.
It's the second straight preseason contest Bars played all the snaps, so he appears fully recovered from the knee injury. The undrafted rookie figures to serve as a reserve interior lineman this season.
