2024 Player Outlook
2023 was more of the same from Gabe Davis as he finished with 45 catches for 746 yards and seven touchdowns for the Bills. Davis has scored seven touchdowns in three of the four years he's been in the NFL but as a downfield receiver the targets, receptions and yards have been inconsistent. In 2024 we see Davis moving on from Buffalo and heading to Jacksonville where he will be their outside receiver and downfield threat. That said, I don't expect this big boom in production to ever come for Davis. He's a rich mans Marquez Valdes-Scantling. He will stretch the field, make some long touchdown catches but overall be too inconsistent to trust on a week-to-week basis, especially as he competes for targets with first round pick Brian Thomas Jr. and Christian Kirk.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that free agent WR Gabe Davis “is on his way to visit” the Saints.
Rapoport curiously closed the report by saying, “with plenty of money coming from [the Jaguars], Davis would command just a [one-year] deal from his new team.” That sounds like the opening line in negotiations, from the team’s side of things. Regardless, the Saints make sense as a landing spot. Davis can compete against relatively soft competition for the No. 3 role, which could allow him to get his career back on track after a disappointing 2024 season.
Free agent WR Gabe Davis is visiting the Steelers on Tuesday.
After flaming out with Jacksonville — catching 20 passes for 239 yards over ten games in 2024 — Davis is seeking a new home with a wideout-needy team. That could be the Steelers, who recently dealt George Pickens to the Cowboys in exchange for draft picks. Davis, who reportedly failed a physical before the Jaguars released him in early May, could function as a downfield specialist and a potential WR2 behind DK Metcalf if he signs with Pittsburgh. Davis has been a popular name on the visit circuit this offseason as he’s also spent time with the Giants and 49ers.
Free agent Gabe Davis will visit the New York Giants.
Cut by the Jaguars after one season last week, Davis visited the 49ers on Monday. New York would be a reunion of sorts, as he played for Giants coach Brian Daboll in Buffalo. The G-Men already have several wideouts capable of stretching the field, but 26-year-old Davis could still be a decent role player in a strong offense. The problem, of course, is that the Giants profile as anything but, but rookie QB Jaxson Dart is comfortable throwing down the field.
Free agent WR Gabe Davis is visiting the 49ers on Monday.
It’s the first known interest we’ve seen of Davis, who was released by the Jaguars last week with a failed physical designation. The 49ers will likely be without Brandon Aiyuk to start the season, and the idea of adding another veteran to the room is appealing. Kyle Shanahan can turn a lot of football players into something fantasy-interesting, but Davis might be a step beyond even his schemes.
