ESPN's Mike Reiss reports that C Kody Russey is "a leading candidate" to continue New England's streak of at least one UDFA making the roster.

That streak goes back 18 seasons now. Russey came in for a top-30 pre-draft visit with the Patriots and they guaranteed him $180,000 on his UDFA contract. David Andrews, New England's projected starting center, is another former part of the Pats UDFA streak.
