Team reporter Wyatt Miller reports, Rams OC Mike LaFleur said Puka Nacua’s route-running and release off the line look “sharper” thanks to Davante Adams’ tutelage.

LaFleur compared the two receivers’ release tactics by saying Nacua “loves the physicality” of the game, whereas Adams employs more “elusive” methods. Nacua will surely continue bullying smaller cornerbacks with physical play, but adding tools that help him deal with more physically imposing players could allow him to have an even larger impact on the game, now operating as the team’s No. 1 wide receiver. Adams has also notably assumed a respected leadership role with the organization as a whole. Per Miller, there “has been a noticeable shift in how the entire receiver room operates since Adams walked through the front door,” and “even the coaching staff has been open to his teachings.” Perhaps, Adams can also help second-year WR Jordan Whittington develop, who played well at times last season.

Rams DE Braden Fiske is fully participating in Organized Team Activities.

Fiske, who finished third in Defensive Rookie of the Year voting last season, injured his knee in the team’s Divisional Round loss to the Eagles and underwent a minor procedure to correct the issue this offseason. His availability for the start of the 2025 season was never considered to be in doubt, but his full participation in OTAs relieve any doubt for the standout youngster. “I’m ready to roll,” Fiske told reporters. Wheels up, baby!

Rams signed fourth-round RB Jarquez Hunter to a four-year contract.

It’s hard to imagine an instant path to playing time and fantasy value for Hunter behind Kyren Williams and Blake Corum, but after the Rams traded up for him in the fourth round he’ll likely have an inside track to a roster spot this year. Hunter will be more of a dynasty stash in 2025 than someone to have an eye on in redraft leagues, but should a rash of injuries hit the Rams backfield he’s a plausible contributor.

Rams head coach Sean McVay told reporters that there has been “healthy and positive progress” in contact negotiations with Kyren Williams.

McVay sang praises for both Williams and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus. McVay also confirmed that Williams is participating in voluntary organized team activities, and celebrated Williams for his “great willingness to come out here to work.” Williams has worked harder than all but two NFL running backs over the last two full seasons, totaling 663 touches during that span. The figure trails only Saquon Barkley (770) and Derrick Henry (694). Unfortunately for Williams, that workload may be working against him at the negotiating table. Although he turns just 25 in August, the Rams may seek to keep an extension limited to two or three seasons. Williams is scheduled to hit free agency after this season.
