We have a nice ten-game slate tonight of MLB DFS. Vegas doesn’t have any high implied run totals for the games, so identifying advantageous matchups tonight should result in strong builds for DFS. Best of luck!

Top Tier

José Abreu, White Sox - OF ($5,200 on DraftKings, $3,900 on FanDuel)

Abreu has been nothing short of fantastic in recent days. He has two doubles and a home run yesterday, and he now has hit a home run in three of his last four games, and four of his last seven. Add to that Abreu has hit ten home runs in just over 100 at-bats this season against left-handed pitching, and he will face a weak one today in Nestor Cortes.

Xander Bogaerts, Boston - SS ($5,200 on DraftKings, $3,900 on FanDuel)

When you’re going to pay up for a bat, Bogaerts checks off all of the boxes you’re looking for.

- His team has a high implied run total today (Check)

- He is hitting in a good hitters park. Camden Yard (Check)

- Hitting well recently. Two doubles and two home run in his last four games (Check)

- No issues in his splits (0.307 avg vs lefties, 0.310 against righties(Check)

All of this to say, Bogaerts is a player who could exceed his value today, even at a high cost.

Mid Tier

Aaron Judge, Yankees - OF ($4,800 on DraftKings, $4,100 on FanDuel)

Judge, came through for us yesterday, so we are going to go back to him today. He likely doesn’t see high ownership facing Giolito, but Judge is a player who has proven that he can hit off of anyone, so I wouldn’t be scared away by the matchup, especially with Judge hitting this well right now(7 hits, 3 home runs, a double in his last 3 games).

Matt Chapman, Oakland - 3B ($4,600 on DraftKings, $3,300 on FanDuel)

Chapman has hit much better this season against left-handed pitchers this season. He will face a lefty today in Kolby Allard who has an ERA near five for the Rangers. Add to that he is coming off of a two home-run game, and he has hits in three of his last four games and we should be looking at another game where Chapman meets or exceeds his value..

Dansby Swanson, Atlanta - SS ($4,600 on DraftKings, $3,200 on FanDuel)

Dansby now has three home runs, and seven total hits in his last three games. He is hitting well right now and from the middle of the Braves order. He will face Paulo Espino of the Natioanls today who has an ERA near 4, and a FIP of 4.24 and an xFIP of 4.74 we should expect the Braves to meet or exceed their implied run total today and Swanson should be a big part of that.

Bargain Bats

Bryan Reynolds, Pittsburgh - OF ($3,700 on DraftKings, $3,400 on FanDuel)

Reynolds has at least a hit in three straight games and a home run in two of those three games. He will be facing a left-handed pitcher today in Eric Lauer of the Brewers, and Reynolds has excelled against lefties this year with a triple slash of 0.328/0.387/0.536.

Mitch Garver, Minnesota - C ($3,800 on DraftKings, $2,700 on FanDuel)

I like this price for Garver. We always want to avoid paying over 4k on a catcher so he checks that box, but he also has back-to-back multi-hit games and a double last night. To add to that Garver also typically hits out of the fourth spot in the Twins lineup, so there should be opportunities for him to have a productive day today.

Jace Peterson, Milwaukee - 2B/OF ($3,800 on DraftKings), OF ($2,300 on FanDuel)

Peterson has multi-hit games in each of the last three games he has started with nine total hits in those three games, which includes two doubles and a home run. His spot in the lineup could certainly be better, but when we factor in his cost and productivity there is still lots of good reason to expect the Peterson could exceed his value today.
