(-350) Top Esports v Invictus Gaming (+250)

(-1800) Suning Gaming v Victory 5 (+900)

(-285) LNG Esports v Rogue Warriors (+210)

Tuesday’s LPL slate features three matches, each of which is relatively one-sided: Suning gets to surge ahead with a surefire victory against the 0-12 Victory 5, TES gets to break IG’s hope and dreams for play-offs, and LNG is likely to stomp out a Rogue Warriors who are already outside of the playoff boundaries for the summer split.

Captain

Bin ($10,500)

Bin has been an underrated carry for the side of Suning, he leads the team in Player of the Game votes- doubling the 2nd in Angel, and he’s consistently looked strong in spite of LPL’s relatively solid top laners. IG’s likely top laner on Tuesday is TheShy, a formerly strong player, but has shown to be woefully inconsistent as of late, while Bin has been a standout player on the world's stage very recently. For a more premium option, consider selecting Knight for captain.

Alternatives to consider: Knight ($11,700)

Top Lane

Ale ($6,400)

LNG is generally an underrated team, which is ironic considering I was one of their most persistent doubters at the beginning of the season. In particular, now that LNG have reintroduced their former bottom lane of Iwandy and Light (and quickly swapped back to Ale from M1kuya after 1 game against LGD- thank god, please keep M1kuya far away from this team) they appear to be a strong team once again. The other option I’d suggest is Qingtian in the top lane, a solid TES rookie who has seemed surprisingly competent despite his noviceness.

Alternatives to consider: Qingtian ($6,800)

Jungle

Tarzan ($6,800)

LNG’s jungler is the star of his team, and the ultimate “it” factor. He was once amongst the ranks of Viper and Chovy in the LCK before their team unfortunately shattered, and their players were scattered throughout the world. Tarzan has found himself on the otherwise underwhelming LNG, but he has boosted these players to nearly international caliber under his leadership. LNG’s opponent in Rogue Warriors is weak across the board and is incapable of providing much of a challenge to a roster like LNG’s. Secondarily, I’d select Karsa against XUN, a jungler known for breaking down any time he’s faced with enemy jungle aggression.

Alternatives to consider: Karsa ($7,200)

Mid Lane

Knight ($7,800)

A story of summer that I find underrated is Knight’s rapid rise back to top form after an underwhelming spring performance from the young prodigy. Just one year ago during 2020 summer, Knight was considered the best mid laner in the world before a weak international appearance at worlds dashed expectations. However, results don’t lie: Knight is back, and stronger than ever. His opponent in Rookie is a decent player, but has been having the worst split of his career so far.

Alternatives to consider: Icon ($7,200)

ADC

Light ($7,400)

LP wasn’t a bad ADC, but thank god Light is back in the starting line-up. His consistency was an underrated advantage for the squad, since he was always a positive point for LNG, and performed admirably in team fights. While he may not have the carrying power of someone like iBoy, Gala, or Viper, he is strong enough to hold his own against the best the world has to offer, and he always keeps great point yields against the lower tier ADCs, such as who he faces in Betty on Tuesday.

Alternatives to consider: Huanfeng ($8,000)

Support

Iwandy ($5,800)

But more importantly, while LP was serviceable, Kedaya was just bad a lot of the time. I welcome Iwandy back with open arms, since he was certainly one of the better support players in the LPL currently- top 5, at least in my mind. Your second choice for support is likely to be ON, since Yuyanjia is not worth his price in my opinion, but I wouldn’t consider ON to be worth his either, since Iwandy is the cheapest option, and the best one.

Alternatives to consider: ON ($6,000)

Team

Top Esports ($5,200)

Just like RNG, TES took their time to find their form. Qingtian took a while to integrate in the top lane, and Knight had to regain his form. Swapping from Zhuo to Yuyanjia has improved the teams form too, and they look like an all-around better team relative to where they were in spring. Aside from that, LNG versus Rogue Warriors is an easy win for LNG.

Stacks

Light & Iwandy

Thank god LNG put these two back in. Light and Iwandy were two consistently strong points for the squad, and while LP and Kedaya weren’t terrible, these two are one of the best bottom lanes in the LPL, and shouldn’t face any challenge against Rogue Warriors.

Knight & Jackeylove

The carries for TES are coming back into their own. While Yuyanjia is objectively a burden to Jackeylove, he’s still more consistent and less volatile than Zhuo, whereas Knight has finally returned to his prodigy status. IG are having a horrible split, and TES should find little hassle in defeating them.

Bin & Huanfeng

These two have the best match-ups on Tuesday. Victory 5 is the worst team all together, only winning 2 maps from the 26 they’ve played. Their 0-12 record describes them perfectly, Victory 5 is dead last. Huanfeng and Bin are capable players who will wipe the floor with their opposition on Tuesday.

Top Picks: Bin, Iwandy, Knight

One from each team, and all in different roles: Iwandy is the cheapest support, and keeps his deaths low. He’s by far the best support playing on the day, and top 5 LPL. Bin is a strong, carry top laner who is capable of delivering wins with the resources he’s granted. Knight is a prodigy, and while costly, worth his price tag.

Top Value: Ale, Tarzan, Light

LNG is undervalued, enough said. Rogue Warriors have shown a brief patch of growth, but not enough to be considered anything over “mediocre”. LNG have the best jungler in the league, and capable positions in every other role.
