Welcome to the DFS Dart Board for NFL Week 13!
If you're new to Fantasy Alarm/DFS Alarm, the Dart Board is an add-on to the Playbook that I started three or four seasons ago. It came about when I was building GPP lineups and realized I needed more salary relief. As I dug through my notes to see who stood out the most among those players at a more affordable price, it hit me. When I put players in the Playbook, I am thinking primarily about cash lineup plays -- guys with a high floor who I could conceivably put into my core-group and build a lineup around. After those players, I would mix in a handful of guys who had boatloads of upside and were in soft match-ups, but I wasn’t paying as much attention to their salary as I should have. And that's where the Dart Board came into play.
Every now and then, when building lineups while using particular stacks, you need some salary relief. You need a guy who may not be minimally priced, but low enough to give you the flexibility you need to get someone like Dalvin Cook or DK Metcalf in as a flex play or something. Occasionally you may see a min-priced QB or TE in here, but more often than not, this space is reserved for running backs and wide receivers who are $5,500 and lower on FanDuel or like $5,000 or lower on Draft Kings.
Now while we call this a Dart Board, keep in mind that every player has been carefully researched. We're not up here picking players all willy-nilly, desperately hoping they hit. We're looking for the cheapest bargains possible who still have the strongest potential to give you at least a 3-5x return on what you pay.
All set? Great. Let's take a look at who we've got this week...

RB | Sony Michel | JAC @ LA Sun 4:05 | 4300 | 5300 |
We're watching the health of Darrell Henderson right now as he is currently listed as questionable with a quad injury he picked up during the Rams Week 12 loss to the Packers. If Henderson is out, you can expect Michel to shoulder the load out of the backfield. He's not the versatile pass-catcher Henderson is, but in a game where we expect the Rams to have a sizeable lead in the second half, Michel could be called upon the chew up the clock and get a heavy dose of carries. Given how soft the Jaguars run defense is, it could prove to be a big day for him. UPDATE: Latest reports say Henderson is unlikely to play which pushes Michel into a spot where you can feel good about him in cash. He's a great salary-saver and gives you a piece of the 4pm ET games as well. You know how we love our late-game hammer. Game Type: CASH & GPP Weather: Mostly cloudy
RB | Nyheim Hines | 4000 | 5300
Hines has found the end zone twice this season and in both games, had a fairly decent-sized workload. The first was against the Titans in Week 3 where the Colts were losing big and sat in catch-up mode with Hines seeing all the passing work. The second was in Week 10 where th Colts were blowing out the Jets and there was no reason to have Jonathan Taylor on the field anymore. This game against the Texans feels like that and Hines could be used heavily in mop-up duty for the second half. The Texans are allowing the second-most rushing yards per game (135.6) and the second-most rushing touchdowns (17) this season. If there is work to be shared, Hines will pick it up. WR | DeSean Jackson | BAL @ PIT Sun 4:25 | 4200 | 5200 |
LATE ADD – He says he's good to go for today and was able to put in limited sessions on Friday and Saturday. DJax is boom or bust here but saw a rising snap share last week and he performed beautifully. If you like to walk down Narrative Street, he's facing another former team here this week and he just so happens to be one of those guys who thrives in a revenge game. Game Type: GPP Weather: Cloudy
WR | DeVante Parker | PHI @ NYJ Sun 1:00 | 3900 | 5400 |
IMPEMBA SPECIAL – I'll leave some room for Jon to add his thoughts, but he does pose a good argument in that, of the five games where Parker and Jaylen Waddle were on the field together, Parker saw more targets in three of those games. For his price and the fact that so few people will be on him, Parker just might be a GPP winner if he gets into the end zone. UPDATE: Based on potential ownership, we are going to add Parker to the list of cash game options. Game Type: CASH & GPP Weather: Cloudy
WR | Josh Reynolds | PHI @ NYJ Sun 1:00 | 3400 | 5100 |
Since joining the Lions two weeks ago, Reynolds has seen the second-highest snap count among the Detroit receivers and is tied for the most targets over that span. We gave you his touchdown to open the Thanksgiving games and we're still very happy to present him here in the Week 13 Dart Board. According to DVOA numbers, the Vikings rank 19th and 29th respectively against the opposition's WR 1 and 2, allowing over 70 receiving yards per game to both. With the obvious rapport between Reynolds and Lions QB Jared Goff, he makes for a fantastic bargain option to allow you more high-priced, marquee options in your lineups. Game Type: GPP Weather: Cloudy
WR | Jauan Jennings | SF @ SEA Sun 4:25 | 3100 | 5300 |
With Deebo Samuel out this week, Brandon Aiyuk slides into the WR1 slot while Jennings moves into the No. 2 spot vacated by Aiyuk. If you take a look at the recent snap counts and targets for Aiyuk, you should be fairly bullish on Jennings as well, especially since defenses will be much more keyed in on Aiyuk and George Kittle. Jennings saw three targets last week, two of which came inside the red zone and one which went for a touchdown. It's a fantastic GPP dart and if you were thinking about a bargain as part of a SF stack, he fits in beautifully. Game Type: GPP Weather: Drizzle
TE | James O'Shaughnessy | MIN @ DET Sun 1:00 | 2600 | 4500 |
The tight end targets continue to rotate in Jacksonville and, once again, land back on O'Shaughnessy who was a favorite before he got hurt. With Dan Arnold out, O'Shaugnessy returns to the top spt and will start to see a heavier target share. Last week, he actually saw five targets which he turned into three grabs for 29 yards, but now with a ful week working with Trevor Lawrence again, he should be in line for the red zone looks Arnold used to get. Game Type: GPP Weather: Cloudy
TE | Brevin Jordan | IND @ HOU Sun 1:00 | 2500 | 4900 |
How about a Cooper Special here? If you've read the TE Coach, then you already have Jordan on your radar as a potential pay-down. I prefer to use Foster Moreau at this price, but if you're looking for a way to continue saving money, have a legitimate low-owned guy and still maintain some touchdown upside, then Jordan could be your guy. I mean, if Coop digs him and he's our new TE Whisperer, thn we should pay attention, right? Game Type: GPP Weather: Cloudy |
