NBA DFS Playbook: March 10

Four straight games under 50 fantasy points and only 37 fantasy points last time Curry played Denver. Do we trust Steph? In a word, YES. Almost in the $8,000s on FD is just criminal. You don't have to get cute on a two-game slate. The Nuggets allow the third-most fantasy points to point guards this season. 

You probably saw the tweets that proved Irving had the most efficient 50-point game everon Tuesday. We won't expect 70 points again tonight, but he is the perfect pivot from a chalkier Curry, even with the Tyrese Maxey defense coming. 

Averaging 25 fantasy points per game in his last two, but that masks an average of 36.8 in his last six. He will need to be all over Kyrie Irving tonight, and give us some of those defensive points we have come to love. Averages 1.67 steals in his last six games.

Even when the Warriors are at full strength, Poole is valuable as a backup. He averages 13.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 25 minutes per game. For just $5,200 on DK, he could be a steal tonight.

Your best punt point guard option tonight, but he really looks like he might be the best value. Averaging 25 minutes and 21 fantasy points a game in his last three in Brooklyn. Those games including Kyrie Irving in the lineup, so a salary close to the minimum tonight could pay huge dividends. 

What more needs to be said? At least 48 fantasy points in every game since his return and now he gets to go up against his old mates and show why his new team is the best in the East? Harden is likely talking to Joel Embiid right now and telling him he plans to take all the shots tonight. My bet is that Harden goes for 60+.

He is Mr. Consistency now. Minutes in the low-30's. Between 25-35 fantasy points every night. That's a steal at his FanDuel salary. Denver is one of the best teams against shooting guards and small forwards this year, so I'm not going crazy with my exposure. 

Questionable tonight, so be sure to check the news. Much easier pill to swallow on FanDuel when you consider his up and down nature. He has given us between 10 and 44 fantasy points the past two weeks.

He's last in the priority line for me tonight for shooting guards. Only averaging 16 fantasy points per game his last three and really has taken a backseat with Kevin Durant back in the lineup. 

Moody looks to still be starting even with Curry, Thompson, and Wiggins in the lineup, so you love to see the $3,500 salary tag still there. He has produced 32.5 DK points per game in his last two. But more importantly, he is playing around 33 minutes per night. 

You're likely playing someone like Durant, Thompson, Gordon, or Moody at small forward tonight, because the other options are not that exciting. Brown might be the best one considering he is back to rebounding, stealing, and assisting everything in sight. He has put up over 35 points per game in his last three at barely 30 minutes per night. He looks very good on DK. 

Just meh tonight despite the limited options. A three-game stretch of fantasy points between 21 and 28 hides the other five recent games which were all below 15 fantasy points. Simply a dart-throw, must-save-salary piece tonight. 

Might Reed be the key that unlocks all the studs on the slate tonight? Stepping in for an injured Jeff Green, Reed put 21 minutes and 21 fantasy points per game his past two. If you want all the studs and we find out Reed is starting again, he will be a must. 

Did he defer last game to Kyrie Irving? Yes. Do I care? No. He put up 61 and 44 fantasy points in his other two games back from injury and I am sure he was fine sleepwalking through one game so he could get up for this one. He wants to destroy Harden as much as Harden wants to destroy him. Durant averages 27.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game in his career versus Philadelphia.

I am very encouraged after four straight strong performances from Wiggins. All four games were over 32 fantasy points when we had seen multiple games under 20 fantasy points in five games prior. In the four-game streak, he hasn't had a usage rate below 22.7%. 

Compared to performance from the first two-thirds of the season, Harris has been the biggest loser in terms of who is impacted by the Harden trade. We haven't seen more than 31 fantasy points in three weeks and now he gets to guard Durant all night. 

On a two-game slate, you're doing to need a player like Gordon sometimes. He is a sold 20-25 fantasy points waiting to happen for around $5,000. With Jokic in the lineup, he likely won't get too much more. Even with no Draymond Green, the Warriors are the second-toughest team against power forwards in their last seven games. 

Denver, on the other hand, is the second-best matchup for power forwards in the last 30 games, as they allow 49.27 fantasy points per night to the position. Kuminga is playing more than 23 minutes per night regardless of whether or not he is starting these days. 

The only tiny reservation I have with Jokic tonight is that Golden State has held him to 17 points per game on 49% shooting for his career in their games. Yes, this a tough matchup, but he dropped 70 points against them in back-to-back games and got a $1,400 drop in salary from his last game. No idea way. 

Imagine having someone like Embiid available as a cheaper pivot off of Jokic tonight. Embiid will likely be lower rostered, but has just as much opportunity to get 70 fantasy points. The Nets are bottom-12 against centers the last 15 games. 

The matchup and potential foul trouble against Embiid is a real concern tonight, but we saw what Drummond can do for the Nets when he is given a healthy dose of minutes. With LaMarcus Aldridge still out, Drummond could pay off his salary in the mid-$5,000s just by rebounds and blocks alone. It's a revenge game for him, too, you know. 

The PERFECT spend-down center option to pair with Jokic, Harden, or Durant in DK lineups. Looney has been a man on fire in nine of his last 10 games. In those contests, he put up more than 20 fantasy points and never once was over $4,500. The Warrirors will clearly need Looney's size tonight and he should play more than 25 minutes barring foul trouble.
