15 games, let’s go! A lot of good potential stacks on the board today and pitchers that we can exploit! There’s a game at Coors, so of course that will draw some attention, albeit with some inflated price points. There could be some weather concerns, so just keep that in mind closer to lineup lock. Don’t worry, this article will be updated, too, as weather updates arise.

Without further ado, let’s jump in and take a look at my favorite value bats and arms for Tuesday’s main slate!

All Sites

Mike Brosseau, 2B/3B TB ($2,100 FD/$3,000 DK/$8 Yahoo) - When you have these kinds of BvP numbers, you find yourself in the value vault! Brosseau is 5-for-11 with four home runs against John Means, good for a 2.000 OPS! Phenomenal! He has a .747 OPS against lefties this year, and he’s 2-for-7 in the two games since he’s returned to action. UPDATE; Mike Brosseau is not starting. I guess 5-for-11 with four homers in your career against someone still isn’t good enough to make the Tampa Bay lineup.

Charlie Culberson, SS/3B/OF TEX ($2,100 FD, $2,400 DK/$8 Yahoo) - Seattle’s Tyler Anderson has been more generous to left-handed hitters, but righties still have a .255 average and .331 wOBA against him. Culberson crushes southpaws, to the tune of a .355 average and .961 OPS. In August, Culberson is hitting .400 and he has six hits in his last 13 at-bats. Fire him up!

FanDuel

Logan Webb, SP SFG ($7,600) - Let’s pick on the Mets, shall we? Webb has allowed just seven earned runs over his last 36 innings of work, posting a 36:9 K/BB ratio in that span. Over his last two starts, he has a 0.75 ERA with a 17:3 K/BB ratio across 12 innings of work. The Mets have the eighth-lowest OPS against right-handers in 2021, and are league average in terms of strikeout rate. He’s too cheap on FanDuel.

Ty France, 1B/2B SEA ($2,900) - France has hit righties at a .281 clip with a .341 wOBA, and Texas’ Spencer Howard has allowed a whopping .333 batting average and .364 wOBA to right-handed hitters! France is swinging a hot bat at the moment, too, hitting .345 in the month of August with a .927 OPS. Furthermore, over his last 23 at-bats, he has a .435 average and 1.132 OPS! Ride the hot bat in a good matchup.

Yahoo!

Carlos Correa, SS HOU ($13) - Houston right-handers are going to be popular today. Kansas City’s Daniel Lynch has allowed a .308 batting average to right-handed hitters, and Carlos Correa has a .278 batting average and .356 wOBA against southpaws this year. The power hasn’t been there against lefties, hitting just three home runs with a .807 OPS, but he’s hitting .304 over the last week or so. There’s another Houston bat you’ll definitely want in your lineup, and his write up is coming just below.

Bryan De La Cruz, OF MIA ($12) - De La Cruz has a .295 batting average against righties this year and a .750 OPS. De La Cruz has a .340 batting average and .854 OPS in the month of August, and when you look just over his last 19 at-bats, he’s sporting a .421 average with two home runs, five RBI and a 1.266 OPS. De La Cruz is a GPP only today, and the higher he hits in the lineup the better.

DraftKings

Aledmys Díaz, 2B HOU ($3,300) - Don’t overthink it here, folks. Aledmys Díaz has a .322 batting average and .399 wOBA against southpaws, and Kansas City’s Daniel Lynch has allowed a .308 batting average and .371 wOBA to right-handed hitters. Diaz is sporting a .321 average in August, but over his last 23 at-bats, he has a .435 average and 1.089 OPS. Fire him up today, especially at this price point.

Kyle Gibson, SP PHI ($8,500) - The Diamondbacks have the sixth-lowest batting average against right-handed pitching this year, not to mention the second-lowest OPS. Gibson has a 2.91 ERA this year, and since joining Philadelphia, he has a 3.18 ERA and two wins. His last start was a bit rough against the Dodgers, but he posted wins and quality starts against the Mets and Pirates. The strikeout numbers haven’t been there, but hopefully he can get to about one strikeout per inning against an Arizona squad that has the eighth-highest strikeout rate against right-handed pitching.
