Today's main slate features six games in the afternoon. With a player on the precipice of history, another making it on an almost daily basis and getting Rays hitters against a beleaguered Baltimore pitching staff leads our recommendations. Please check for any last minute weather and lineup changes ahead of lock and best of luck.

Top Tier

Shohei Ohtani, Los Angeles Angels - 1B/OF ($6,500 on DraftKings)

As of this posting, FanDuel has not included Ohtani in its hitter pool for the afternoon slate, but if he's in the lineup, may adjust their slate. On DraftKings, Ohtani comes with a hefty price tag because of his 27 home runs in 265 at-bats versus right-handed pitching this year (one every 9.8 at-bats) fueling his robust .381 isolated power and 1.048 OPS. After reaching 40 home runs last night, Ohtani looks to build his case for MVP in a game which could feature history on the other side of the diamond.

Brandon Lowe, Tampa Bay - 2B ($5,100 on DraftKings, $3,700 on FanDuel)

While many focus on season results, Lowe continues raking in the second half and over the last two weeks owns a .348/.426/.739 slash over 12 games spanning 54 plate appearances with 13 runs, five home runs, 15 RBI and two stolen bases. It also accompanies a .391 isolated power and .477 wOBA. Plus, he's 5-for-9 in past match-ups with today's starter, Jorge López of the Orioles with a double, a .562 xSLG and .397 xwOBA in them.

Mid Tier

Kyle Seager, Seattle - 3B - ($4,600 on DraftKings, $3,300 on FanDuel)

Always underappreciated for fantasy, Seager feasts on Rangers pitching during his career to the tune of a .291/.369/.515 slash with 37 home runs in 691 at-bats. He even likes hitting in Globe Life Field with a .318 average and a 1.025 OPS through 11 games entering today's contest with four home runs. He homered last night, and launched two over his last three games along with five in his last 12 played. Giddy up.

Bargain Bats

Miguel Cabrera, Detroit - 1B ($3,200 on FanDuel, $2,800 on FanDuel)

Bringing fans to the ballpark hoping to witness his 500th career home run, perhaps fate stepped in with an injury to the Angels pitching staff forcing a spot start by José Quintana today. Cabrera owns an extensive history against the southpaw with five doubles and two home runs in 46 plate appearances among his 15 hits (.326 batting average). He also possesses a .291 xBA and .555 xSLG in their match-ups plus a .309 average versus left-handed pitching this season. Root for the historic home run, succeed in DFS if he accomplishes it.

Andrew Vaughn, Chicago White Sox - OF ($3,100 on DraftKings) 1B/OF ($2,500 on FanDuel)

Vaughn leads his team with a .330 isolated power facing left-handed pitching generating 10 doubles and seven home runs with 36 runs plus RBI this year against them. Backed up by his 1.067 OPS and .319/.418/.649 slash line, he matches up well with Cole Irvin.

Kevin Kiermaier, Tampa Bay - OF ($2,200 on DraftKings, $2,400 on FanDuel)

After disappointing DFS players yesterday, time to double down on Kiermaier as bargain play on this slate. Over the last two weeks, he's slashing .400/.483/.720 with nine runs, two home runs, six RBI and a stolen base. He's also 4-for-7 in previous meetings against today's starter Lopez with a double, a .651 xBA, .826 xSLG and .644 xwOBA suggesting he may be due for more power in them.
