Top Tier

Paul Goldschmidt, St. Louis - 1B ($5,700 on DraftKings, $4,200 on FanDuel)

Goldschmidt's launched eight home runs in his last 12 games over two weeks and 50 plate appearances with a .364/.440/.909 line, driving in 13 runs and even stealing a base. Of his 38 batted ball events, he's generated nine barrels and 18 hard hits (exit velocity of 95 MPH or better) for a robust 60 percent rate. As an added bonus, he's 6-for-10 in his career with two doubles, two home runs and owns a 1.288 xSLG in past match-ups against tonight's starter, Freddy Peralta

Brandon Lowe, Tampa Bay - 2B ($5,400 on DraftKings); 2B/OF ($3,900 on FanDuel)

After recording a torrid stretch, Lowe's cooled off a bit at the dish but may be cured tonight by facing Randy Dobnak who gives up 3.1 home runs per nine innings against left-handed hitters. Facing right-handed pitchers, Lowe's hit 24 of his 31 home runs this year with a .301 isolated power and .923 OPS. Projected hitting lead-off and in a sneaky spot, if others overlook him on this slate, even better for us.

Mid Tier

Jorge Soler, Atlanta - OF ($3,900 on DraftKings, $3,800 on FanDuel)

Returning to the well once again with Soler in Colorado, he hit his fourth home run in his last seven games last night and could produce more power tonight. He enters this contest hitting .326/.388/.744 over his last 49 plate appearances with 10 runs, six home runs and 10 RBI. Like last night, tonight's starter gives up more home runs in his reverse splits, putting our target in a smash spot once again. Ride the heater.

Andrew McCutchen - OF ($3,600 on DraftKings, $2,800 on FanDuel)

Yes, Jesús Luzardo pitched well his last time out, but he's like a box of chocolates in any start, not sure what one will get. McCutchen's crushing southpaws with 13 home runs in 136 at-bats facing them this year fueling a robust .309/.423/.654 slash line with a .346 isolated power and a 1.078 OPS. Siding with the veteran in this contest and the Phillies own a streak of seven straight games with at least seven runs scored.

Bargain Bats

Jorge Mateo, Baltimore - 2B/SS ($2,000 on DraftKings); 2B/OF ($2,300 on FanDuel)

Although he's armed with a limited sample size, Mateo arrives in New York with a chip on his shoulder hoping he proves his former franchise wrong for trading him away, yes revenge game narrative. Mateo's only logged 35 at-bats against southpaws this year but produced four doubles, a triple and a home run with eight runs plus RBI good for a .286/.306/.543 slash with a .257 isolated power. At the stone cold minimum on DraftKings with multiple eligibility, why not?

Kevin Pillar, New York Mets - OF ($3,200 on DraftKings and $2,100 on FanDuel)

Recency bias leads up towards Pillar who faced southpaw Sean Nolin on August 28th and launched two home runs in two at-bats. Guess who the Mets draw tonight in Washington? Even though his splits do not jump off the page, targeting him with confidence for upside at his price point. If for some reason he's not in the lineup, simply pivot into the opposite dugout and slot in Lane Thomas of Washington who boasts a .625/.727/.938 slash versus left-handed pitching this year with three doubles and a triple in 16 at-bats facing Rich Hill.
