With a six-game slate on tap for Thursday night, be sure to confirm lineups and check for any last minute weather issues. As for the hitters, there's going to be some different paths when building DFS lineups, so locate your targets and approach for success. Smaller slates usually play better for cash than tournament play, but with some solid options in the bargain bats, a stars and scrubs attack could work well. Good luck!

Top Tier

George Springer, Toronto - OF ($5,500 on DraftKings, $4,200 on FanDuel)

A renowned streaky hitter, Springer's homered in each of his last two games and hit four over his last five. When batting lead-off he owns a .375/.446/.875 slash line with eight doubles, eight home runs, 16 RBI and eight walks in 16 contests. Over his last 17 games played he's 28-for-66 (.424) with nine doubles, eight home runs and 16 RBI carrying a robust 1.404 OPS in them.

Anthony Rizzo, New York Yankees - 1B ($5,100 on DraftKings, $4,000 on FanDuel)

Adapting well to the Yankees, Rizzo's recorded at least one RBI in his first six games with his new team  with three home runs and a .400/.519/.850 slash line in them. Overall, he's hit six home runs his last 10 games, reached base in 12 straight and even though it seems like a split disadvantage facing a southpaw, he owns a .347 batting average with six home runs in 95 at-bats this year facing them and a 1.011 OPS.

Mitch Haniger, Seattle - OF ($5,200 on DraftKings, $3,500 on FanDuel)

On the opposite end of the Rizzo match-up, the Mariners also face a left-handed pitcher coming off the COVID injury list. Haniger's hit 10 of his 25 home runs facing them this year in only 127 at-bats and when he's on the road, his numbers improve. He's slashing .364/.394/.712 versus southpaws away from Seattle with a .348 isolated power, 1.106 OPS, .458 wOBA and six home runs in 66 at-bats.

Mid Tier

Jonathan India, Cincinnati - 2B ($4,700 on DraftKings, $3,600 on FanDuel)

He's hit safely in eight of his last nine games including three last night. When batting first, he owns a .305/.432/.487 slash line with seven home runs. Tonight he's opposed by Wil Crowe who gives up a .304 average to right-handed batters and 1.9 home runs per nine innings on average plus carries a 6.17 road ERA to a very hitter friendly ballpark. India's launched nine of his 11 home runs against right-handed pitching and in a prime spot to produce a safe floor of points in DFS with upside for more if he hits a home run in this contest.

Bargain Bats

Andrew Vaughn, Chicago White Sox - 1B ($2,900 on DraftKings), 1B/OF ($2,800 on FanDuel)

Vaughn's not only hitting .405/.468/.643 his last 13 games but he's slashing .343/.389/.588 with six home runs and 16 RBI his last 30 contests. Tonight, he faces a southpaw on the mound which boosts his appeal since he averages a home run every 14.5 at-bats with a matching .322 batting average and isolated power fueling an enticing 1.054 OPS at a bargain price on this slate.

Edward Olivares, Kansas City - OF ($2,200 on DraftKings and FanDuel)

At near minimum price on each site, Olivares homered in last night's game and stole a base on Tuesday. During his time at Triple-A, he hit .340/.426/.766 facing left-handed pitching with five home runs in only 47 at-bats (one every 9.4) and 12 RBI with five walks. In the majors with limited exposure, he's hit one home run in only 14 at-bats but possesses strong plate discipline metrics with power upside in a nice match-up against Dallas Keuchel this evening. Plus, he could provide points with power or speed.

Abraham Toro, Seattle - 2B/3B ($3,500 on DraftKings), 3B ($2,500 on FanDuel)

Another hitter on a hot streak heads to a ballpark which heavily favors hitters. Toro's hit safely in seven of his first eight games with a .440/.500/.920 slash, three doubles and three home runs since joining Seattle. Although he's not hit for power versus left-handed pitching, he produced a double going 11-for-30 (.367) with a .424 OBP this year against them and could also pop a home run against their bullpen in this match-up which could be high scoring. Giddy up.
